Garbage In & Garbage Out

Primal Primer 8 (Mentality)

Ancient ancestral detoxification practices spanned epochs and geographies; deeply embedded in cultural and spiritual lives evident in most all civilizations. Practices of detox extended past targeting just physical health, adjunctly focused on achieving balance and harmony between the sapien’s spirit and environment. A consistency of ideas spanned many past advanced cultures; all advocating for a need to develop practices of the phoenix. Developing protocols focused on cleansing the mind, body and spirit for rebirth; an astringency to the accumulation of living.

Cleansing Practice By Culture

Ayurvedic – Traditions emphasized dietary balance, seasonal detoxification, and use of herbs and spices supporting natural detoxification systems. By nourishing the body with specific foods, individuals experienced enhanced mental clarity and deeper introspection through self-evaluation.

Chinese – Medicines stimulated specific points in the body, enhancing Qi flow (vital energy) through methods of acupuncture, cupping, and Gua Sha, complemented by herbal supplementation. A holistic approach improving physical well-being and focused mental state; unlocking levels of enhanced clarity.

Egyptians – Practiced purging through enemas and laxatives, believing inducing states of cleansing promotes physical and mental rejuvenation.

Greeks – Valued dietary restrictions, bloodletting, and purgatives. In conjunction with hot springs and baths facilitating sweat production and detoxification—methods also shared in Native and Mesoamerican practices.

Balance Through Expulsion

Ancient detoxification protocols remind us that what we consume—both physically and mentally, exerts massive effects over our subjective and objective well-being. When engaging in detoxification practices, many experience a return to base in mental and physiological states: enabling sharper evaluation of objects, activities, consumption, and relationships. Certain consumptives take, give and transfer energy; assessing their support of objectives or hinderance of progress creates nourishing conditions for expulsion from the body and mind.

~Cave Implementation~

Periodically, take time in evaluating activities (nutritional, media engagement, and entertainment consumption), objects you own and how they occupy time and mental energy. Reflect on relationships you hold and cultivate—are the people you spend time with uplifting and propelling towards highest potential, or slowing to the soul?

Honesty is essential in assessment. Interrogate whether elements are bringing you closer to Supreme Being—a life unified with purpose and fulfillment—or causing hindrances.
