Primal Primer 21 (Mentality)

Long before formalized religions or spiritual systems developed, meditation was a pratice that may be progenitor to modern relidions. While early Homo sapiens may not have engaged in meditation as we define it today, forms of mental focus, introspection, and awareness was incorporated in seeking singularity. Prior to group worship, reading alleged original words of God, the act of singular focus, mind clearing, and adding challenging poses of endurance and lengthening, all in efforts of purging intrusive throughts. Through this delamination of thinking and ego, meditation may have been the initial conditions of prayer and unity; seeking a oneness with the one.

Meditation Is Intentional Consideration

Meditation is an ancient practice done innumerably in variation, while providing similar and wide ranges of effects. Defined as paradoxically deep in consideration while not in thought, meditation is a process of structured concentration with purposeful presence. When the brain is quiet, focused on nothing but breath or step, the sapien palpably shifts into a different gear of being.

~Cave Implementation~

Seek out time to breathe and quiet the mind. Similar to fasting, meditation is a fast of the ego and processing it seeks. Clarity of mind, calmness of soul, and overall down regulation of the autonomic nervous system, are powerful levers to pull for increasing quality of life, relationships, and general prowess. Meditation takes on many forms, modalities, and time investments. Like any skill, practice leads to progress; results being accumulative. Yoga, Kundilini, Wim Hoff, and any breath work where silencing the brain is intention, are powerful doorways into ancient technologies of meditative practice.
