The Journey Of 1,000 Miles Begins With A Single Step

Primal Primer 1 (Mentality)

“A journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step.” ~Laozi

All great actions are the accumulation of smaller ones. Homo sapien’s separation from past progenitor species (Homo Neanderthal, Homo Erectus, etc.), expansion from Africa to global dominion, and current interplanetary aspirations, all began with one single step departing from tree. From arboreal, to commanding land, air, and space, mastery begins from single intrepid steps of directional purpose.

First Steps

Intention – As you increase your daily movement in alignment with the sapien standard of 10,000 steps, use this time to contemplate larger implications of the what and why of daily commitments; think deeply of your aspirations.

Orientation – Plan out successive “first steps”. Explore potential legacy projects contributing to the creation of a Life Unifying Purpose (L.U.P.).

Mindfulness – Determine starting places, necessary equipment, and experience points (EXP.) needed to sufficiently embark on this quest. What are potential drags & drivers of today and tomorrow?

Perseverance – If your L.U.P. is yet to manifest clearly, the investigative process inevitably starts with steps and directions of their own. Often it is required to pay careful attention to the not so obvious gravitational forces that pull directions. Many steps may be retraced and reset diametrically different than initial intent. Within this process is the gold; calibrating one’s metaphysical compass provides azimuth for future steps in the truest cardinal direction.

~Cave Implementation~

Take steps today in new directions and distances. Primal Primers calibrates both mind and body in preparation for discovering and receiving one’s L.U.P. Become galvanized for the birth of your many purposes. The first step is precursor to motion and momentum; take as many as possible. 10,000 steps is a great starting place towards any journey of 1,000 miles.
